We have been shaped by many streams of the body of Christ. One thread that is constant in our life together is the practicing of spiritual disciplines. According to Richard Foster, practicing a spiritual discipline is about “doing what we can in order to receive from God the power or resources to do what we cannot do in our own strength.”
In other words, we do what we can (make space for God) so God can do what we can’t (form us by his Spirit into the likeness of Christ). In that way, spiritual disciplines are the means, not an end. Prayer and spiritual disciplines are about making space for the God who already loves us, not checking off a religious to-do list to make him happy.
Here you will find some PDF prayer guides we have created and made available to you for personal use as a means of making space for God. They are simply road maps for the journey with Jesus you might find helpful along the way.
