New Here?

Church can be an intimidating place to visit — especially if you dont know what to expect. The Neighborhood Church is full of people in different stages of life and life with God. Some have followed Jesus for decades, some only months, and others have not yet ventured down the path with him. Regardless of where you are, you are welcome to come as you are —  questions and all.

We have people who grew up in church, people who were hurt by a church, and people who are completely new to church. Wherever you may be, we want you to feel welcome, because we believe Jesus meets us where we are, not where we think we ought to be.

Take some time to look around the site, listen to a sermon, or reach us via email. We hope youll consider being our guest in person.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Our worship gatherings are Saturdays at 5:00 p.m. We share a space with Freeman Heights Baptist Church in central Garland.  Below are some notes on what to expect if you visit a worship gathering.

  • Expect prayer, singing, communion, and a message about Jesus from the Bible, you are invited and welcome to participate.
  • Expect to be greeted and welcomed — Our people are friendly and authentic.
  • Expect a safe, fun, and engaging time just for kids — Our children and students are integral to our community. Children ages newborn to fifth grade meet during worship, students sixth through twelfth grade meet the hour before worship, where they will learn about God and life with him.
  • Expect authentic fellowship and mission in small groups — Our Neighborhood Groups meet each week to encourage, pray, and be on mission together in their neighborhoods, cities, and throughout the Dallas metroplex. Open to our neighbors and their children, these groups function as “community on mission to bless our neighborhoods and build relationships. Learn more here.
